Â Our Chef and owner isÂ a NATIVE OF MARYLAND, Chef Leon Palmer is a 1980 graduate of the Baltimore Culinary College. Prior to joining The Algonquin Hotel in 1998 as Executive Sous Chef and rapidly moved into the position of Executive Chef in 1999, he was affiliated with the prestigious four diamond The Black Swan at the Scanticon Hotel in Princeton, New Jersey; the patron dining room at The Museum of Natural History; and the exclusive Maidstone Club in East Hampton, New York.
Â His work has been praised in both industry and consumer publications, including Food Arts, New York, and Wine Spectator magazines. Chef Palmer's creations were honored with a listing inÂ The American Tasting Institute'sÂ TopÂ 100Â Menus.Â
